Many similar products have echoes or only listen to chat within 20 meters. Does this product have these issues?
NO! The Extender Local Chat is free from echoes and listens to ALL local chat within your parcel without exceptions.
Many similar products have delays in messages. Does this product have these issues?
NO! The Extender Local Chat is free from delays. It has been tested with over 60+ avatars and delivers messages without delay!
If I have multiple areas within the same land, do I need more than one Extender Local Chat?
NO! The Extender Local Chat works across your entire land. If you have multiple zones, it's easy to manage. Example: If Zone A and Zone B are 100 meters apart, simply set your Extender Local Chat range to 50 meters, and it will cover both zones with just one device.
I don’t like the appearance of the Extender Local Chat. What can I do?
The Extender Local Chat is modifiable. You can make it transparent by editing it: go to the Texture Tab and change the Transparency from 0 to 100, or you can move it underground.
Can I talk to other avatars and receive replies from more than 20 meters away within the same land?
Absolutely YES! You can communicate with avatars beyond 20 meters and receive replies within the selected range (21-4000 meters) in the same land.
How to Use
Rez ONLY ONE Extender Local Chat on the ground.
Click on the Extender Local Chat to open the control menu.
Configure your Extender Local Chat according to your preferences.
Once the power is turned on, it will start working immediately.
IMPORTANT: The Extender Local Chat requires a few free prims to function properly 1 prim per avatar is needed.
Menu Options
Power
Allows you to turn the device on or off.
Range
Determines the maximum distance between avatars within which the device will work.
Height Allowed
Determines the minimum and maximum height at which the device will work.
Mode
Determines whether the device works for group members only or for all avatars.
Greeter
Active by default, when a new avatar enters on the land, they receive a message stating that the Extender Local Chat is active on this land. To comply with Second Life's TOS, you can disable this option if you prefer to notify users through another method.
Display Name
Active by default, this option allows you to show or hide display names on extended messages.
Multi Land
Disabled by default, this option allows to work on all lands by same owner/group.
